Therese is an award-winning writer-editor covering global pop culture, k-pop, life, and mental health. A proud professional yapper, she’s also a TEDx speaker, cultural commentator, and all-around excellent party guest.

As editor of VICE Asia, she led the team to win a Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) award for Excellence in Arts & Culture Reporting. She’s now APAC lead editor at Canvas8 where she works with experts, journalists, and analysts to understand trends and behaviors across industries.

A long-time fan of magazines and digital media, she joined NYU’s Summer Publishing Institute (almost) straight out of college. She has also spent time in Hong Kong, where she pursued a master’s in journalism at The University of Hong Kong. Born and raised in the Philippines, she now splits her time between busy Manila and the mountain city of Baguio.
